A certified public accountant with more than 15 years of experience and practice, Susan C. Martin founded an independent firm based in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Her firm is designed to serve the practical accounting service needs of small- and medium-sized businesses and nonprofit organizations in the Triangle and surrounding areas. As a small business owner herself, she has the practical knowledge, experience and insight to work with you and teach you how to grow your organization by taking the right steps toward future financial success.
Before starting her own practice, Susan served as an audit senior manager with a larger regional CPA firm and worked in a similar role with one of the larger local CPA practices. She is experienced in providing audit, review, compilation and consulting services to owner-managed businesses, federal government contractors, non-profit organizations, local governments, financial institutions and entities receiving federal and state grant funding. She also has experience with audits issued under Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) and OMB Circular A-133.
With a degree in accounting from North Carolina State University, she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA). She is also a member of the NCACPA's Not-for-Profit Committee.
Susan serves on the finance committee of the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County and as an at-large member of the Board of Directors. She is a member of the Association Executives of North Carolina, The Institute of Internal Auditors, Wakefield Rotary Club of Wake Forest, the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce and Wake Forest Presbyterian Church. She's a recreational assistant coach for Capital Area Soccer League where she stays involved with her two sons.
